| When they talk about Berlin in the Australian outback, there is
a saying: Paris is beautiful — BUT BERLIN IS INTERESTING.
Some even say that these days Berlin is one of the most interesting
cities in the world. True or false - at least it has made me stay now for around 25 years.
... As a young student I came to what was then West Berlin. I
had planned to hang out here for three or four years at the most...

I lived through the "Roaring Nineties" after the fall of the
Wall (actually I was present November 9, 1989, at one of the border crossings that suddenly opened that night) and saw the city becoming again the capital of reunified Germany. This offered me the opportunity to grow with it. In 1999 the government made its final move from Bonn to Berlin. During all my Berlin years I have come across a good portion of those walks of Berlin life that are possible here and thereby I have acquired a full comprehension of what this city is like and how it really works. |
I thoroughly enjoy showing Berlin - its particular and very distinctive atmosphere - to international visitors. It is exactly this special Berlin experience - that way of life here which is making Berlin so famous all over the world- I would like to share with you. With me by your side you will become familiar with fascinating Berlin in a way you would not have thought possible. While we are walking and exploring areas of the city that you pick - if you like to do so. But, of course, you may as well choose the option to allow me to make some suggestions.Whatever you choose - within a few hours you will feel as if you had spent years here.
